User Agreement

This User Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your access to and use of the STEADY mobile application (“STEADY” or the “App”). By using STEADY, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Not Medical Advice

STEADY is an adaptive nervous-system training and recovery app built around a progressive annual foundation. It supports training, education, and self-regulation practice.

STEADY is not medical care, a medical device, or emergency support. STEADY does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor medical or psychiatric conditions and does not replace care from a qualified clinician. If you are experiencing urgent symptoms or a crisis, seek appropriate emergency or professional support. Use of STEADY does not establish a provider–patient relationship.

2. User Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

You agree to use STEADY responsibly and at your own discretion. You should discontinue use immediately if you experience dizziness, discomfort, shortness of breath, distress, or other adverse symptoms.

You are solely responsible for determining whether STEADY’s training and self-regulation practices are appropriate for you.

3. Informational Nature of Data

Post-session recaps, optional biometric feedback, and any available recovery context are provided for informational, educational, and training purposes only. They are not clinical measurements, diagnoses, prescriptions, readiness scores, or recovery scores.

No sensor is required. Streamed Apple Watch heart rate may provide HR-only feedback. Other biometric feedback and recovery context are available only when supported data, device capabilities, and signal quality allow. Apple Watch and Apple Health data do not determine session pacing.

If you choose to share a post-session recap or other information with a qualified clinician, it is intended to support discussion and does not replace independent clinical judgment.

4. No Warranty

STEADY is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of results.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STEADY and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Total liability for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for access to the App.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with system integrity, or use the App in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless STEADY and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of this Agreement.

8. Modifications

This Agreement may be updated periodically. Continued use of STEADY after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
